SafeNet Trusted Access for Deskpro
Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Deskpro is a three-step process:
2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup
As a prerequisite, obtain the certificate fingerprint from the Identity Provider certificate. To obtain the certificate fingerprint, you need to download the Identity Provider certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download X.509 certificate button. Next, perform the following steps:
a.Convert the default format of the Identity Provider certificate to the .cer format.
You will need this certificate in one of the steps below.
Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity provider in Deskpro:
1.Log in to Deskpro account as an administrator using the https://<Domain Name>.deskpro.com/ URL.
Here, <Domain Name> is the domain name of your organization, you registered with Deskpro.
2.On the Deskpro admin dashboard window, in the left, click CRM > Auth & SSO.
3.In the right, under Authentication and SSO, click the +Add button .
4.Scroll down and select SAML Authentication app.
5.Under SAML Authentication App, perform the following steps:
a.Select Yes check box to enable SAML Authentication.
b.In the SSO: Single Sign On URL field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL, displayed on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
c.In the SLO: Single Log Off URL field, enter the SingleLogOff URL, displayed on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
d.In the Metadata: Issuer XML metadata URL field, enter the Entity ID URL, displayed on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
e.In the x509 Certificate field, open the IDP certificate in notepad, you downloaded earlier from the SafeNet Trusted Access console, copy the entire text and paste in the x509 Certificate field or click Choose File to upload the IDP Certificate.
f.In the x509 Certificate Fingerprint field, enter the certificate fingerprint of SafeNet Trusted Access (for example, 09 e8 6a 67 c5 e7 8e b0 f8 60 68 97 e4 da 8f b3 cb ef df 21) you obtained in step b of Deskpro Setup.
g.In the SSO Method field, select Automatic.
h.Select other parameters, if required.
i.Click the Install App button.
6.The message SAML Authentication has been installed successfully is displayed. Click Continue.
7.SAML Authentication app appears listed under Authentication and SSO.
In the right pane, under SAML Authentication, click View Metadata, copy the entire metadata text in a Notepad and save it as .xml file on your local machine.
After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Deskpro, the second step is to activate the Deskpro application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:
1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Deskpro application, you added earlier is currently inactive by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Deskpro) and proceed to the next step.
2.Under STA Setup, click Upload Deskpro Metadata.
3.In the Metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select Deskpro metadata, you obtained earlier in Obtaining Metadata Information section.
4.Under Account Details, service provider metadata information is displayed.
5.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Deskpro application in SafeNet Trusted Access.
Navigate to the Deskpro application URL, https://<Domain Name>.Deskpro.com/. Here, <Domain Name> is the name of your organization registered with Deskpro. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Deskpro support portal after authentication.
Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click the Deskpro application icon, you should be redirected to the Deskpro support portal after authentication.
