SafeNet Trusted Access for Docebo LMS


Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Docebo LMS is a three-step process:

1.Docebo LMS setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

Docebo LMS Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider metadata from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download Metadata file button.You will need this matadata in one of the steps given below:

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in Docebo LMS:

1.Log in to Docebo LMS as an administrator.

2.On the Docebo LMS dashboard, on the upper right-hand side corner, click on the Gears icon.

3.Under Apps & Features, under SAML SETTINGS, click Settings to configure single sign-on (SSO).

4.On the SAML 2.0 - Settings window, perform the following steps:

a.Select the Active check box.

b.In the Identity Provider ID field, enter the Issuer/Entity ID URL that is available in the identity provider metadata that you downloaded earlier form SafeNet Trusted Access console.

c.Select the Enable Service Provider Certificate check box, and perform the following steps:

Under Private Key file (PEM), click UPLOAD FILES(S) to search and select the service provider's private key file in the .pem format.

Under Certificate file (CRT), click UPLOAD FILE(S) to search and select the service provider's certificate file in the .crt format.

d.In the XML Metadata field, enter the Identity Provider’s metadata that you downloaded earlier.

e.In the Username Attribute field, enter Username.

f.Under SSO Behavior, select the Show SSO button on login page check box.


h.Under SAML 2.0 SP Metadata, click DOWNLOAD to download the Docebo LMS metadata and then save it on your local machine.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Docebo LMS, the second step is to activate the Docebo LMS application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Docebo LMS application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Docebo LMS) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, click Upload Docebo LMS Metadata.

3.On the Metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select the Docebo LMS metadata provided by the Docebo LMS support team.

The service provider metadata information is displayed in the Account Details section.


4.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Docebo LMS application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to the Docebo LMS URL, for example, https://<Domain name registered with Docebo LMS> On the Docebo LMS sign-in page, click SIGN IN WITH SAML SSO. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Docebo LMS portal after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Docebo LMS application icon, you should be redirected to the Docebo LMS portal after authentication.
