SafeNet Trusted Access for GitPrime


Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for GitPrime is a three-step process:

1.GitPrime setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

GitPrime Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider Metadata from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download metadata file button. You will need this metadata in one of the steps given below.

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in GitPrime:

1.Log in to GitPrime as an administrator using the URL.

2.In the left pane, at the bottom, move the mouse pointer over your name and then click Org Name & URL.

3.Click the SSO tab and under SSO Integrations, click New SAML Integration.

5. Under Configure SAML integration, perform the following steps:

a.Open the Identity Provider metadata that you downloaded from the SafeNet Trusted Access console in a text editor and then copy the entire text.

b.In the Metadata field, paste the metadata that you copied in the previous step.

c.In the Login URL field, enter your company's name (for example, gemalto).

d.Select the Manage Roles within GitPrime checkbox.

e.In the Full Name field, enter FirstName LastName as a mapping attribute.

f.In the Email field, enter Email as a mapping attribute.

g.Click Save.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in GitPrime, the second step is to activate the GitPrime application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the GitPrime application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, GitPrime) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, perform the following steps:

a.In the COMPANY NAME field, enter your company name (for example, gemalto) that you entered in step 5 (c) of GitPrime Setup.

b.In the NAME ID field, ensure that Email address is selected.

c.Under Return Attributes, ensure that FirstName, LastName, and Email return attributes are added and First Name, Last Name, and Email address user attributes are selected, respectively.

d.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the GitPrime application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to the GitPrime login URL,<Your Company Name>. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the GitPrime application after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the GitPrime application icon, you should be redirected to the GitPrime application after authentication.
