SafeNet Trusted Access for Hippo CMMS

Overview

Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Hippo CMMS is a three-step process:

1.Hippo CMMS setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify Authentication

Hippo CMMS Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider Certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download X.509 certificate button.

Copy the Entity ID URL and Single Sign On URL by clicking the Copy to Clipboard icon , next to ISSUER/ENTITY ID and SINGLESIGNONSERVICE fields. Next, provide Signing Certificate, Entity ID URL, and Single Sign On URL to the Hippo CMMS support team for configuring SAML authentication.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Hippo CMMS, the second step is to activate the Hippo CMMS application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Hippo CMMS application, you added earlier is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Hippo CMMS) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, perform the following steps:

a.In the ENTITY ID field, enter the Entity ID URL, provided by Hippo CMMS support.

b.In the ATTRIBUTE CONSUME SERVICE ENDPOINT field, enter the Attribute Consume Service Endpoint URL, provided by Hippo CMMS support.

c.Under User Login ID Mapping, in the NAME ID field, confirm if the Email address is selected.

3.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Hippo CMMS application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to the Hippo CMMS login URL (For example, https://demov6.hippocmms.ca). At the bottom, click <Company Name>, you will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Here, Company Name is your organization name, registered in Hippo CMMS (For example,SafeNet). Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Hippo CMMS application after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Hippo CMMS application icon, you should be redirected to the Hippo CMMS application after authentication.
