SafeNet Trusted Access for Jitbit

Overview

Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Jitbit is a three-step process:

1.Jitbit setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

Jitbit Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider signing certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download X.509 certificate button. You will need this certificate in one of the steps given below.

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in Jitbit:

1.Log in to your organization’s Jitbit administrator account using the following URL:

https://<Domain Name>.jitbit.com/

Where, <Domain Name> is the domain name of your organization that you registered with Jitbit.

2.On the Jitbit dashboard, click the Administration tab and click General settings.

3.Under General settings, scroll down to Authentication settings and enable Enable SAML 2.0 single sign on to allow single sign-on (SSO).

4.Under Enable SAML 2.0 single sign on, perform the following steps:

a.In the EndPoint URL field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.

You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the SingleSignOnService field.

b.Open the Identity Provider signing certificate that you download earlier from the SafeNet Trusted Access console in a text editor, and copy the entire text of the file (including the ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE--- and ---END CERTIFICATE---- lines).

c.In the x509 certificate field, paste the text that you copied in the previous step.

d.Click Save changes.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Jitbit, the second step is to activate the Jitbit application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Jitbit application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Jitbit) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, in the DOMAIN NAME field, enter your organization’s Jitbit account domain name (for example, safenet) that you registered with Jitbit.

3.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Jitbit application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to your organization’s Jitbit helpdesk URL, https://<Domain Name>.jitbit.com/helpdesk/Saml/Auth, where, <Domain Name> is the domain name of your organization registered with JitBit. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Jitbit ticket portal after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Jitbit application icon, you should be redirected to the Jitbit ticket portal after authentication.
