SafeNet Trusted Access for Zoom

Overview

Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Zoom is a three-step process:

1.Zoom setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

Zoom Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider signing certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download X.509 certificate button. You will need this certificate in one of the steps given below.

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in Zoom:

1.Log in to Zoom as an administrator using the URL, https://zoom.us/signin.

2.On the administrator dashboard, in the left pane, under Advance, click Single Sign-On.

3.In the right pane, click Enable Single Sign-On.

4.Under Configure SSO Manually, perform the following steps:

a.In the Sign-in page URL field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.

You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the SingleSignOnService field.

b.In the Sign-out page URL field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.

You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the SingleSignOnService field.

c. Open the Identity Provider signing certificate that you download earlier from the SafeNet Trusted Access console in a text editor and copy the entire text of the file (including the ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE--- and ---END CERTIFICATE---- lines).

d.In the Identity provider certificate field, paste the text that you copied in the previous step.

e.In the Issuer (IDP Entity ID) field, enter the ISSUER/ENTITY ID URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.

You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the ISSUER/Entity ID field.

f.In the remaining fields, enter or select values as per your preferred configuration.

g.Click Save Changes.

Obtaining Metadata

In a web browser, open the URL, https://<Your Domain Name>.zoom.us/saml/metadata/sp. The Zoom metadata (metadata.xml) will be downloaded automatically on your local machine.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Zoom, the second step is to activate the Zoom application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Zoom application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Zoom) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, click Upload Zoom Metadata.

3.On the Metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select the Zoom metadata that you downloaded earlier in the Obtaining Metadata section.

Under Account Details, the service provider metadata information is displayed.

4.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Zoom application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate the Zoom login URL, https://<Your Domain Name>.zoom.us, click Signin. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Zoom user account after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Zoom application icon, you should be redirected to the Zoom user account after authentication.
